Radio Hams to visit ARRL HQ via Skype

At their next meeting on Jan. 12 members of the Fond du lac Amateur
Radio Club will visit W1AW at ARRL HQ via Skype

The Northwestern newspaper says:

This meeting will celebrate the 100th year anniversary of ARRL marked
by a number of special events. While many voice and Morse code
contacts have been made by amateur radio operators with WIAW in
Newington, Conn., few have had the opportunity to have a video
connection.

During the meeting, Moraine Park will contact the control room of W1AW
live on "Skype" for a two-way conversation with Joe Carcia NJ1Q,
general manager of the station, and project the live conversation on
the screen in the World Link Room. Members of the club will be able to
interact with the station manager, and the camera operator will give a
complete tour of the station.
