textos, assim, mais perceptiveis. Visto os nossos subscriptores serem tambem
estrangeiros, foi a medida que optamos fazer, para que todos possam ter

saber o que se passa.

A semelhanga da semana passada, aqui vos apresento mais uma ideia de
projecto, que igualmente serviu de entrada no concurso da Microchip.
Como o concurso e' estrangeiro, toda a informacao esta' em ingles. O
projecto e' apresentado na versao original.

To ensure proper dosing of medication, a blister pack will be equipped with
a 10F220 PICmicro.
Attached to AN0 is a resistor network hooked up to each blister, in such a
way that the resistance (and therefore the voltage) changes when the patient
removes medication from the blister pack.
GP1 is hooked up to a small speaker, similar to those in musical greeting
cards, which allows it to play tones.
The speaker is used to alert the user that medication should be taken, and
warn when a patient takes out medication early.
The system also has a simple switch attached to GP3: if the user presses a
designated part of the blister pack, tones will indicate if it is already
appropriate to take medication or not.
The system is powered by a small button cell battery, which is activated
when the blister pack is sold to the patient.
The circuit is neatly hidden between the paper layers of the blister pack.
The 10F220 will keep track of blister pack activity in its RAM, and can send
the contents of its memory over GP2 if an appropriate clock signal is given
on GP3.
This allows a medical professional to look up what happened in case of an
adverse event.
Color coding and text indicate which dosing schedule is programmed in a
particular blister packs 10F220.
