Portugal CT2HPN Cabo Raso PT0003 Buro New Lighthouses for ILLW 2019

240 entries have been received so far for the 2019 *International
Lighthouse Lightship Weekend* to be held on 17-18 August including two new
lights that have not been in the event previously.

Also for the first time in the event, a station will be using the new
geostationary satellite Qatar-OSCAR 100 or QO-100, which marks the dawn of
a new era for radio amateurs. The German station at Kamp Karnin, DL7AG,
will be receiving on 3cm and transmitting on 13cm to the satellite. There
is a web site for tracking QSO’s via QO-100 at
https://eshail.batc.org.uk/nb/

*Esposende Portugal <http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farol_de_Esposende>*

Current tower built in 1922 (station established 1866).

An active lighthouse with a focal plane of 20 m (66 ft). It is a 15 m (49
ft) round cylindrical cast iron tower with lantern and gallery, standing on
a round concrete base. Adjoining 2-story keeper's complex. Entire
lighthouse painted red; keeper's house is yellow.

This is a typical prefabricated French *tourelle*. The original light was
described as an "iron column." The light station is built partly within the
walls of the Forte São João Baptista.

Located on the north side of the Rio Cavado entrance at Esposende. Site
open, tower closed. ILLW- PT0037. (Rowlett - ibiblio.org)

*Punta Celeraín Mexico*

Built in 1934 (station established 1908). An active lighthouse with a focal
plane 26 m (85 ft). It is a 25 m (82 ft) cylindrical concrete tower with
lantern and gallery.
Lighthouse painted white with black lettering on the seaward side; lantern
painted red, gallery green. 4th order clamshell Fresnel lens in use.

The keeper's house (1908) has been renovated as the Celeraín Museum of
Navigation. Foundations of two earlier lighthouses remain visible.

Visitor center nearby on the main road. The road to the lighthouse was
washed out by Hurricane Wilma in late 2005, but the area was reopened by
September 2006. Located in an ecological reserve at the southern end of the
island of Cozumel. Site open (entry fee), tower open. ILLW- MX0011.
