Amateur Radio is back to the young generation

Mathrubhumi reports 'ham radio, the predecessor of telecommunications, is
being explored by this young generation'

Over 200 volunteers from the Scout and Guides in the Vadakara education
district were shown how to use ham radio.
They were attending a workshop titled *Jamboree On The Air* organised by
Scouts and Guides in association with Amateur Radio and Disaster
Communication Society.

Ham Radio technicians explained the use of the device during natural
calamities when other telecommunication devices lose connectivity.
