Seven Patna radio hams licensed

* The Times of India* reports the Union Ministry of Communication and
Information Technology has issued amateur radio licenses to seven
enthusiasts from Patna

The newspaper says: Altogether 45 people were trained by the G P Sinha
Centre for Disaster Management and Rural Development to operate Ham Radio.
Of them, seven passed the exam conducted by the Ministry.

Obtaining an amateur license in India requires overcoming a very high level
of bureaucracy with police and security checks which can over a year to
complete from the time you pass the exam.
