Boas,

algumas opiniões de colegas no fórum dos 4 metros sobre os tranverters
vendidos por um colega Ucraniano no ebay.

O preço é muito bom e a ver pelas opiniões os resultados estão dentro do
aceitável.

I noticed that a Ukrain ebay shop (called tubes_shop) are selling
transverters.
They look to have all the VHF bands, including 222MHz. And they are
extreamly well priced.

Has anyone tried any of them?
As the price, I ordered one just to play with.

They also do an attenuator board. But I recon they are designed with a
little too much attenuation for most people. Requiring 10-15W
drive to match their transverters, when I suspect most people will be using
5W drive ?

Jules

Yes I bought one for 2m and it works fine. I added my own attenuator etc.

It is being driven by a sdr rxtx kit with 1 W output.

Will add 6 and 4m at some point.

Hi,
There was an articule in the Practical Wireless a few months ago, where
someone built up one of their kits and also put it on a spectrum analyser,
the results seemed quite acceptable for a single ended TX mixer, so I
thought, ok lets get one, I have got around to getting it all together yet,
but we will see.

I currently use an old G3WPO transverter, but at least that uses double
balanced mixers in both the TX and RX paths. If nothing else will make a
useful portable kit for use with my FT817ND.
If I get it finished soon, will make some comparisons.

I have a Nacton which I built and it received OK.
I had a little problem on transmit with an smd coil going open but it
is now fixed OK.
In the meantime I got the Ukranian transverter and used it barefoot
last year and worked quite a few stations with only a dipole.
Now I have also got a 6 metre one but still have to put it in a box
complete with power supply etc.
Hope this helps
Regards
Lawrence

p.s.
It does NOT need 10-15 watts drive.
It only needs a few milliwatts otherwise you will burn it.
