Registration fee imposed on Dutch Radio Hams

* VERON* reports radio amateurs in The Netherlands will be forced to pay a
31 Euro registration fee

On Budget Day 2015, the government of The Netherlands announced that in
2016 amateur radio operators will pay a fee for their registration.

Before 2008, Dutch amateurs had a license from which they could derive
rights. In 2008 this was transformed into a system of free registration
from which they could derive fewer rights. Even with the new fee the
regulator has no intention of providing a better service.
