spotting and chat facility, COM-port keying and audio tx drive, is free!


Opera 2 meter Tropo North Med

With the onset of Summer, excellent Tropo conditions return to the north
Mediterranean.

Providing opportunity for 2 way Opera 0.5 [30 second -20 dB s/n] over
ranges so far of 1439 Km, with UA3XX and RX3OFM also exchanging decodes
over a 378 Km path, from the Moscow area

 The opera system is now deployed from 136 KHz, HF through to the 2 mtr
70cm, 23 cm and 10GHz bands and continues development, providing effective
path monitoring, with minimal equipment over heads.
A true serial data mode, using ON-OFF keying, Opera, may be retro fitted to
'any' existing Beacon, CW or FSK, totally free running, with no time lock
requirements .
