Talvez seja melhor lerem também o artigo "BBC hackathon aims to crack
Africa's digital markets
<http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2015-02/02/bbc-hackathon> ", pois o
âmbito do 'hackathon' não tem nada a ver com radiodifusão em onda curta:

« The east African country is currently in a technological dichotomy - *it
has both an affluent urban minority keyed into mobiles and other
communications tools, alongside desperately poor citizens outside the
cities with comparatively little access to advanced resources*. Kenya also
has the fastest growing economy in the region though, with
telecommunications key to its growth. It's that spark that the hackathon is
looking to tap into, with an emphasis on the creation of new methods to
"reinforce the international broadcaster's appeal to mobile phone users who
do not currently access BBC content relevant to them via the use of social
media and chat apps". [sic] »

No artigo originalmente referenciado, " How the BBC's Kenyan hackathon
could change news delivery
<http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2015-02/23/bbc-africa-hackathon-interview>
",
lê-se:

« The most important thing going in to this project is that normally, when
the BBC does digital development, local or international, it is still
driven by London's tech understanding. So rather than offering something to
audiences that was created elsewhere, we wanted to see the ideas coming
from the area. *All the ideas were dealing with the intersection of social
and mobile areas*. I'd had a hunch it would be about that.* All the
companies were trying to manipulate existing content so that it's more
interesting to mobile users*. [sic] »

Portanto, não tentemos enviesar o conteúdo dos artigos. O objectivo aqui é
claro.
