Icom America announces subsidiary in Brazil

Icom America has announced the establishment of Icom Brazil, a
subsidiary with headquarters in Belo Horizonte, the capital city of
Minas Gerais state.

The initial objective of Icom Brazil, or "ICOM do Brasil
Radiocomunicação Ltda," focuses on the public safety industry with
Brazil's government. Additionally, Icom Brazil will help existing
distributors expand their dealer networks nationwide.

The creation of Icom Brazil will allow the radio manufacturer to
solidify its brand visibility in an emerging South American market.
According to the Central Intelligence Agency's "World Factbook"
publication, Brazil became the world's seventh largest economy in
terms of gross domestic product (GDP-PPP) in 2011.

Brazil has experienced positive growth in recent years and has
received global attention, including the country's hosting of the 2014
FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics. "Icom recognizes Brazil's
rising potential in the global market," says Muu Yamamoto, Icom
Marketing Manager - Latin America. "We look forward to investing our
efforts and resources in this country."
