Projeto Village Telco

Interessante projeto de voluntariado tecnológico, assente em redes
VoIP, que visa disponibilizar o acesso gratuito ao telefone e a redes
de dados para as comunidades pobres.

Este projeto, foi apresentado em 2011, durante o forum anual
patrocinado pela  American Radio Relay League e a Tucson Amateur
Packet Radio
nas Digital Communications Conference. Foi palestrante David Rowe
(VK5DGR) conhecido radioamador australiano ligado ao protocolo aberto
CODEC 2.

 The ARRL and TAPR Digital Communications Conference is an
international forum for radio amateurs to meet, publish their work,
and present new ideas and techniques. Presenters and attendees will
have the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn about recent hardware
and software advances, theories, experimental results, and practical
applications.
