100 year ITU Prefix

Commemoration of 100 year ITU Prefix with the call PB100PREFIX from 4
to 31 October.

After the tragic loss of the Titanic (Callsign MGY, the, "M", is from
the Marconi company) in April 1912, there was a knowledge that there
should be international standards for radiocommunications.

Therefore the leading colonial countries planned several meetings in
the aftermath off the loss of the Titanic.

According several documents there is stated that the call-signs where
planned during a conference in Bern Switzerland, that's not the case,
in Bern was located the International bureau of the ITU until 1948,
after that its located in Geneva, that International Bureau only
publicised the drafts.

The first meeting about prefixes was held not in London, but on the
17e May 1912 in Brussels by the comity "Commission du Droit
aéronautique", there was a plenary subcommittee for the London
conference in August 1912. (see document) The prefixes changed several
times during that meeting, for example, the Netherlands recieved in
Brussels the prefix PB, in London at first the SA to SS series, after
several negotiations the changed it again in PA-PI.
