SDR-4 general coverage SDR receiver to be launched at the National Hamfest

Cross Country Wireless will be launching the SDR-4 general coverage
SDR receiver at the RSGB National Hamfest on
30 September/1 October.

The SDR-4 receiver covers 0.85 to 30 MHz.

It has an antenna isolation transformer with 50 and 450 ohm inputs for
coax fed or random wire antennas. It uses relay switched RF bandpass
filters and has a built-in USB soundcard.

It's priced at £149.95.

The SDR-4 covers from 0.85 to 30 MHz and follows on from our existing
SDR Receiver with a Si570 low noise synthesised VFO, relay switched
band pass filtering, a power FET RF amplifier and a built-in USB
soundcard.

Key design features include:

Antenna isolation transformer with a 50 or 450 ohm impedance input for
use with coax fed antennas or random wire antennas

Extra antenna isolation when the receiver is powered down

Relay switched RF band pass filters

RF amplifier using a power MOSFET in receiver front end

Internal 10 MHz RF level calibration oscillator

Built-in USB stereo soundcard

3.5mm soundcard audio output for headphone monitoring or connection to
