RSGB to investigate mystery signal
Many UK radio amateurs who operate on 501 - 504kHz have reported over the past month reception of a wideband signal between 498 and 502kHz.
The RSGB is investigating the matter, but it is possible that it is an early trial of a so called e-Navigation MFSK system that the maritime service is proposing for this part of the spectrum at WRC-12 preparation meetings.
