Power line tech could crash aircraft and shut down the Archers

The recent Ofcom report on the polluting Power Line Telecommunications (PLT) system is discussed in an article in The Register.

The article by Bill Ray says that an extensive study commissioned by Ofcom concludes that power line networking could crash aeroplanes and block Radio 4 (causing the loss of radio shows such as The Archers).

Existing PLT systems operating across 2-32 MHz have already been causing major problems to radio listeners, now a new generation of PLT device threatens the FM, DAB and aeronautical bands as well.
