<H1>Power line tech could crash aircraft and shut down the Archers</H1>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>The recent <STRONG>Ofcom</STRONG> report on the polluting
Power Line Telecommunications (PLT) system is discussed in an article in <EM>The
Register</EM>.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>The article by Bill Ray says that an extensive study
commissioned by Ofcom concludes that power line networking could crash
aeroplanes and block Radio 4 (causing the loss of radio shows such as The
Archers).</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>Existing PLT systems operating across 2-32 MHz have already
been causing major problems to radio listeners, now a new generation of PLT
device threatens the FM, DAB and aeronautical bands as well.</FONT></P>
