<div dir="auto"><h1 style="font-size:16pt;font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Remarkable opening on 144 MHz from the Azores results in several contacts over 3,000kms</h1><p style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif">On the evening of the 14th and the morning of the 15th of September 2019, there was a remarkable opening on 144 MHz from the Azore Islands in the Atlantic Ocean to parts of the UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.</p><p style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Some of the tropo contacts between the Azores and Germany were in excess of 3,000 kms, the equivalent distance between Ireland and Newfoundland.</p><p style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif">The longest contact made on the morning of the 15th of September was between CU3EQ in the Azores and DJ6AG in central Germany, a distance of some 3231 kms.</p><p style="font-family:verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Full report on <a href="https://ei7gl.blogspot.com/2019/09/opening-on-144-mhz-from-azores-results.html" style="color:rgb(0,51,102);text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">https://ei7gl.blogspot.com/2019/09/opening-on-144-mhz-from-azores-results.html</a></p></div>
