style="box-sizing:border-box">Hurricane Chris</strong><span> </span>continues to track northeast at 37 kilometres per hour with sustained winds of 165 kilometres per hour and is due to make landfall on the Avalon Peninsula late Thursday night as a post-tropical depression.</p><p style="box-sizing:border-box;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:16px;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial">Rainfall in the effected area is likely to amount to 50 to 70 millimetres with 80 to 100 kilometre per hour winds and large surf.</p><p
