Since its inaugural contact in 2000, the Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) project has been used to connect more than a quarter of a million students with the astronauts living and working aboard the space station, exposing the students to science, radio technology, and space.<br style="box-sizing:border-box"><br style="box-sizing:border-box">Although many different pieces of technology are required for a ham radio contact to be successful, one of the most important is the collaboration between the many groups of people involved. Just like the space station is a multi-national effort, each ham radio contact requires groups from various cultures, careers, and countries to work together to achieve a common goal: inspiring future generations.<span> </span><br style="box-sizing:border-box"><br style="box-sizing:border-box">Each ARISS contact raises awareness about the space station and the scientific research the crew members conduct each day.<span> </span><br style="box-sizing:border-box"><br style="box-sizing:border-box">Read the full NASA article at<span> </span><br style="box-sizing:border-box"><a href="https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/research/news/ISS_Ham_Inspires_The_World" target="_blank" style="box-sizing:border-box;color:rgb(0,51,102);text-decoration:none">https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/<br style="box-sizing:border-box">research/news/ISS_Ham_Inspires_The_World</a></p><p style="box-sizing:border-box;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:16px;font-style:normal;font-variant-ligatures:normal;font-variant-caps:normal;font-weight:400;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial">ARISS<span> </span><a href="http://ariss.org/" target="_blank" style="box-sizing:border-box;color:rgb(0,51,102);text-decoration:none">http://ariss.org/</a></p><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:16px;font-style:normal;font-variant-ligatures:normal;font-variant-caps:normal;font-weight:400;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;float:none;display:inline">AMSAT-UK<span> </span></span><a href="http://amsat-uk.org/" target="_blank" style="box-sizing:border-box;color:rgb(0,51,102);text-decoration:none;font-family:Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size:16px;font-style:normal;font-variant-ligatures:normal;font-variant-caps:normal;font-weight:400;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px">http://amsat-uk.org/</a>
