<p class="MsoNormal">Acredita-se que a maioria das galáxias albergam buracos negros supermassivos no seu centro. Nesta palestra vou falar sobre o papel destes buracos negros na formação e evolução de galáxias. <u></u><u></u></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Vamos também falar de outros aspetos relacionados com os buracos negros: o que aconteceria se o Sol se tornasse num buraco negro? Ou como formar um buraco negro do tamanho de um berlinde?<u></u><u></u></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Sonia Antón é investigadora no Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA). Doutorada em Astrofísica pela Universidade de Manchester, trabalha na formação e evolução de galáxias, em particular na população que alberga buracos negros
supermassivos. Entre os principais projetos em desenvolvimento destacam-se as participações no Portuguese ALMA centre of Expertise (PACE) do Observatório Europeu do Sul, na missão espacial Gaia da Agência Espacial Europeia, e na construção do radiotelescópio
