It was founded by Emperor Dom Pedro II in July 2, 1856. This date is considered the day of the firefighter in Brazil.</p><p>All Fire Brigades in Brazil are part of the System of Public Security and Social Defense, and primary mission is to carry out activities of civil defense, prevention and fighting fires, search, rescue and public relief in their respective States, relying when necessary with the voluntary support of the amateurs radios.</p></div>
