<strong><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222">No mês de Abril de 2015 as NOAL associam-se à celebração do “Global Astronomy Month 2015“, enquadrando a iniciativa “Global Star Party” na sua sessão mensal.</span></strong><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222"><u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Georgia","serif";color:#333333">A “Global Star Party” é um evento de proporções planetárias, que tem como objetivo reunir todos aqueles que desejam contemplar
o céu e viver o seu interesse pela Astronomia.</span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222"><u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Georgia","serif";color:#333333">A atividade das NOAL deste mês será realizada no sábado 25–Abril–2015. A sessão terá início com a palestra
às 21:30, mas as observações astronómicas decorrerão em contínuo ao longo da noite, até às 24:00.</span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222"><u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Georgia","serif";color:#333333">Como habitualmente, haverão telescópios nas observações mas, no entanto, convidamos e encorajamos os participantes
que possuam equipamentos de observação (binóculos, lunetas, telescópios) a trazerem-nos e utilizarem-nos. <span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222">Nesta palestra vou começar por explicar como se desenvolveu, no início dos anos 20, todo o debate sobre a possibilidade da existência de um Universo fora da nossa “aldeia” chamada
Sistema Solar. Foi um período atribulado, cheio de notícias contrastantes, e com novas ideias que despoletavam discussões sobre a teoria existente. Em resumo, um período com poucas certezas e muitas dúvidas e, portanto, muito interessante.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p style="margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:7.5pt;margin-left:0cm">
<span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222">Na segunda parte da apresentação, vou descrever o processo da evolução de galáxias a partir de novas imagens do Universo primordial. Com o acesso a novos instrumentos estamos a investigar
pela primeira vez aquilo que se passou logo após o início do tempo e da história do Universo.<u></u><u></u></span></p>

<span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222">Ciro Pappalardo é originário de Sicília, no sul de Itália, e desde pequeno sempre desejou percorrer o mundo. Em pouco tempo, Ciro percebeu que na realidade o mundo é pequeno, tendo
decidido assim estudar o Universo… que é verdadeiramente grande. Doutorado em Astronomia pela Universidade de Estrasburgo, trabalhou no Observatório Astrofísico de Arcetri, em Florença, onde estudou novos dados provenientes de um telescópio que o permitiram
observar por uma janela nunca antes aberta. Afirma que foi uma boa experiência na terra de Dante Alighieri e de Girolamo Savonarola. Atualmente é investigador do Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA), onde trabalha ativamente no estudo da formação
e evolução de galáxias. Gosta de correr, todos os dias, pela Tapada da Ajuda e ouvir fado às 4 da manhã em Alfama.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
