Carteret County News-Times reports that one of the few remaining TV<br>
repair businesses is closing down<br>

Wayne Beasley originally founded Beasley TV Inc on Jan 1, 1957 and<br>
opened Parkway TV in 1970. He sold the business to the current owners<br>
Darlene and Tim Forrest in 1991.<br>

The increasing reliability of TV's coupled with consumer preference<br>
for buying a new TV if the old set went wrong led to a slump in the<br>
repair business. The antenna installation side of the company was hit<br>
by the introduction of cable TV.<br>
