The Malabar Amateur Radio Repeater Society (VU2MLQ) is pleased to<br>
announce the inaugration of the India’s First Scouting Repeater VU2MJJ<br>
yesterday at 4.00 p.m during the JOTA 2013 (20.10.2013) by Shri.<br>
Manjalamkuzhi Ali, Hon. Minister of Urban Affairs, Town Planning,<br>
Development Authority and Minority Welfare.<br>

VU2MJJ, located at the club station VU2MLQ, has a wide coverage in<br>
South India and is situated at the top most point in Puthanathani town<br>
of Malappuram District in Kerala state at an Altitude of 420 feet ASL.<br>
The Coordinates are 10* 56’ 03.43” N .76* 00’ 20.45” E.<br>
<br>
This is the first DSTAR capable repeater in India with the frequency<br>
of 145.450 with standard minus shift. The repeater is capable to<br>
handle DV, DD, FM (N),FM (W) MODES.<br>
<br>
VU2MLQ was established to serve the Scouts and guides associations in<br>
India. It provides training to the scouts and guides and has an active<br>
daily net on VHF and on HF every weekend.<br>
