<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend continues to grow from its first event held in August 1998 that attracted 158 stations in 40 countries.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Many of the amateur stations in the original activations at the historic maritime structures have been with the fun event since, and been joined over the years by many hundreds more.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The sponsors, the Ayr Amateur Radio Group Scotland, thanks all entrants for their loyalty, and looks for another record year as we move towards the magic 500 registrations.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
