Volcano activation</span></h1>

style="font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"">Grupo
DX Teide</span></strong> will once again
activate the Teide Volcano, the highest point in
Spain, between June 30th and July 2nd. Last
operation was in 2007 using the callsign <b>AN8TID</b>.

lang="EN-US">To commemorate their 5th anniversary of
that operation, and the Teide National Park being
added to the UNESCO World Heritage List, the team
will be active as <strong><span
style="font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"">EH8TID</span></strong>
this time. </span></p>
<p><span
style="font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif""
lang="EN-US">Operations will take place from the
same location as last time: the La Rambleta del
Teide, 3555m ASL, and less than 163m from the top of
the mountain. The area is highly protected, and
therefore; they are only authorized to use vertical
and wire antennas and only 100 watts.</span></p>

style="font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif""
lang="EN-US">Operators mentioned are José
Antonio/EA8ARG, Luis/EA8AY, Ángel/EA8BFH, Miguel
Ángel/EA8BRW, and Francisco/EA8CW.</span></p>

lang="EN-US">Activity will be on 80-6 meters using
CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. QSL via EA8NQ. </span></p>
<p><span
style="font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif""
lang="EN-US">A special certificate will be provided
_upon request_ to whom made at least three contacts
on different bands and/or modes. The certificate
will be sent free by E-mail as a printable image or
PDF.<br>
Those who want a printed certificate must send 5.00
Euros, 6.00 USAs or 5 IRC to cover printing and
shipping expenses. </span></p>
