<H1>433MHz and 3.6MHz in New Zealand</H1>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>NZ's regulator the <STRONG>MED</STRONG> is
<STRONG>permitting 'unrestricted' short range operation in the 433MHz Amateur
Radio band</STRONG> and auditory aids at 3.6MHz.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>Previously, only low power telemetry and telecommand had
been permitted to use this amateur allocation, now the band is designated
unrestricted, which would permit low power FM walkie-talkies to be
used.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>Auditory aids are being permitted in the 3MHz and 10 MHz
bands. The 80m allocation extends from 3.64MHz to 4.04MHz covering much of the
Amateur Radio allocation.</FONT></P>
