HAMRADIO 2010 videos

Several videos of this year's HAMRADIO event in
Friedrichshafen are now available.

Attendance at HAMRADIO 2010 was 16,800, down slightly on
the 2009 figure of 17,400, but still an impressive total.

Essex amateur John G8DZH of the Loughton
and Epping Forest Amateur Radio Society (LEFARS) was one of the many UK visitors
at the event, he writes:

The HamRadio show had moved to the the set of halls this
year and traders re-organised. Hall A1 was for companies as before but it meant
that some traders who had previously used the Flea market halls (cheaper) were
now no longer able to do so. Private individuals and those selling surplus /
used items could stay in the Flea market halls.

One side effect of the new policy was to see a stand next
to the Yaesu selling connectors and ladies' handbags and accessories!

Some familiar faces were missing (Taurus for one). Also
less computer bits. However, there was still a wide range of components, radio
bits and strange things on offer.
The quantity of Russian surplus seems to
be less also.
If you wanted to make your own linear amp, all of the
components were available including the harder to find high voltage
caps.

The first video captures the variety of languages you get
at the event. The YouTube description says:

This is a short reportage about the HAMRADIO 2010 in
Friedrichshafen Germany. That was 185 exhibitors and unions from 29 countries -
an international event. We didn't translate the film because we didn't know
whether to put into German, English, French, or Spanish.

So this is a polyglott version - enjoy it.
