<H1>IARU national society memberships</H1>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma><STRONG>The Papua New Guinea (PNGARS) French Polynesia
(CORA) and Burma (BARTS) are believed to have ceased to
exist</STRONG>.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>The International Amateur Radio Union reports it has not
been able to contact these national radio societies for at least five years and
there's no evidence of their continued existence.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>Under its rules the IARU it has called for evidence to be
submitted that these radio societies are in existence by no later than 13
September 2010.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma><STRONG>Meantime in other changes, the Radio Club of
Paraquay has been reinstated to full IARU membership status, the Union des
Radioamateurs du Congo (URAC) is a newly elected is a newly elected member, and
a membership application is being considered from the Montenegrin Amateur Radio
Pool (MARP) formed in October 2008</STRONG>.</FONT></P>
