<P><FONT face=Tahoma>Tired of amateur radio DXpeditions from remote locations,
islands on the air, lighthouses and other classics? <BR><EM>Then, this one is
for you!</EM></FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>Be ready for the third radio activity at <STRONG>Cahroi
Bar</STRONG>, in Portugal, with the singular special call sign
<STRONG>CQ7CAR</STRONG>, on this edition.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>The first endeavour took place August 2007 and second at
2008 when a group of friends, committed to ham radio activated this kind of
gastro pub in Gouveia, Sintra in Portugal, with the special call sign CT6CAR
(2007), CT8CAR (2008)and now CQ7CAR</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>The CT8CAR Call Sign is no more available from Continental
Portugal, because of the new laws of amateur radios communications in Portugal
at last year 2009.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>Such event was so successful that now, the same group, will
back on radio from there, among good regional excellent meals and
beverage.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>The special event station will be on the air during July 24
to July 29, 2010.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>The Cahroi Bar is a familiar establishment, placed on a hot
spot for radio communications, serving lunches and dinners at the table,
including a good wine and nice fresh local food that can rival a good
restaurant's.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>With some help from radio wave's propagation this special
call sign will be easily reached at every amateur band on several
modes.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Tahoma>The beacon will sign it up in the APRS system as well as at
Google Earth. Both will give you the geographical coordinates of the
location.</FONT></P>
