bringing us to the fourth generation R6. Like its predecessors, <STRONG>the R6
is big on coverage</STRONG>, tuning <STRONG>from 100 kHz to 1309.995
MHz</STRONG> (less cellular and gaps) in these modes: <STRONG>AM, FM
Narrow and FM wide</STRONG>. The triple conversion circuit provides amazing
sensitivity for the size. It has <STRONG>1300 alphanumeric memories
storing: frequency, mode, step size, duplex direction and offset, CTCSS
tone, tone squelch and skip settings</STRONG>. And scanning is really fast ...
<STRONG>up to 100 channels per second!</STRONG> Seven different scan formats are
available. It features a large backlit </FONT><A
href="http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/widerxvr/1006disp.html"><FONT
face=Tahoma>LCD display</FONT></A><FONT face=Tahoma>. </FONT>

efficient circuit design offers extended battery operation. This radio comes
with a wrist strap, belt clip and SMA fleixble antenna. The R6 requires two AA
cells (not supplied). </FONT>
