Astronauta Richard Garriott, também é amador de rádio, ele é titular do
indicativo dos EUA, W5KWQ, e participou no JOTA 2008 a partir do espaço
(Jamboree On The Air).<BR><BR>Este ano a AMRAD realizou o Jamboree no Ar
no Museu da Pólvora Negra em Barcarena, o Richard participou neste
Jamboree, comunicando e enviando centenas de fotografias do espaço, de
bordo da ISS a estação espacial internacional. Essas imagens eram
recebidas através da rádio pelos jovens escuteiros. <BR><BR>A AMRAD teve
ocasião de instalar uma estação portátil de rastreio de satélites, que
permitiu 1) comunicar directamente com Richard para bordo da ISS, e 2)
receber imensas imagens que foram por ele transmitidas. Um trabalho
coordenado por Fabiano Moser, coordenador da ARISS-Portugal. <BR><BR>Ontem
Richard Garriott enviou pessoalmente, através do correio electrónico,
saudações dirigidas aos jovens escotistas/escutistas do concelho de Oeiras
e que desde a Fábrica da Pólvora de Barcarena, participaram neste invulgar
e inédito Jamboree on The Air, e cujo conteúdo da mensagem de Richard

card.<BR>That is great that your contacts start with Krikalev, he is a
hero of mine.<BR>Charles is a good friend of mine, and as you likely know

greetings and that I was glad they got to hear me from space, and that I
