<P>Tired of DX expeditions from remote locations, islands on the air,
lighthouses and other classics? Then, <EM><STRONG>this one</STRONG></EM>
is for <EM><STRONG>you!</STRONG></EM></P>
<P>Be ready for the second radio activity at <STRONG>Cahroi Bar</STRONG>,
in Portugal, with the singular call sign <STRONG>CT8CAR</STRONG> on this
edition.</P>
<P>The first endeavour took place last August 2007, when a group of
friends, committed to ham radio, activated this kind of gastropub in
Gouveia, Sintra, with the special call sign CT6CAR.</P>
<P>Such event was so successful that now, the same group, will back on
radio from there, among good regional excellent meals and beverage.</P>
<P>The special event station will be on the air during July 19 and 20,
2008.</P>
<P>The Cahroi Bar is a familiar establishment, placed on a hot spot for
radio communications, serving lunches and dinners at the table, including
a good wine and nice fresh local food that can rival a good
restaurant's.</P>
<P>With some help from radio wave's propagation this special call sign
will be easily reached at every amateur band on several modes.</P>
<P>The beacon will sign it up in the APRS system as well as at Google
Earth.</P>
<P>Both will give you the geographical coordinates of the location.</P>
