The Spring issue of the PSR journal features an article
on D-STAR sensitivity by Mark Miller, N5RFX.

The article concludes that D-STAR trades 2 dB of
sensitivity for a 17dB increase in nearly noise free reception over analog FM.

However, when weak signal reception is necessary, the
analog signal will provide better performance.
