<br><br>He writes:<br><br>The Ham Radio community and the Portuguese colleagues in particular are cheerful in recognition for a brand new D-Star repeater CQ0DFO, permanently installed, just a few days ago.<br><br>This equipment was over a test period at a relatively short time. The location is Fóia ( Monchique Mountain ) in Algarve, (the most Southern Province of Portugal).
<br><br>Thanks to an agreement between the regional Ham Radio Association, the " Radioamador Clube de Loulé " - RCL, and Icom's national agent, the NAUCOM corporation and also with ANACOM (the Portuguese administration of telecommunications) it was possible to achieve this ambition.
<br><br>On behalf of all ham radio colleagues, RCL is remarkably grateful to Mr. Avelino Barrote CT1CHS from NAUCOM, by this unique opportunity to contribute for some avant-garde experiments on the innovative digital technology D-STAR in Portugal.
