<DIV><STRONG>Com o grande número de industrias, comércios e seguranças usando os
radios FRS ou GMRS (conhecidos como radios "Talkabouth"<WBR>), muitos colegas
tem me indagado sobre quais são as frequencias de utilização.</STRONG></DIV>

face="Times New Roman">Freqüências dos radios FRS /
GMRS:<O></O></FONT></FONT></SPAN></B></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="COLOR: black">As
freqüências dos serviços <B>FRS </B>(<I>Family Radio Service</I>) e <B>GMRS</B>
(<I>General Mobile</I> <I>Radio Service</I>) estão na faixa de UHF e foram
destinadas pelo FCC em 1996 ao uso comum (indústrias, comércio, seguranças), não
sendo necessário ter licença para utilização dessas freqüências.
<SPAN> </SPAN>Diante da popularização desses equipamentos no Brasil, a
Anatel também regulamentou essas mesmas freqüências para o uso sem licença. O
México e o Canadá também regulamentaram as regulamentaram no mesmo sentido. Já
na Grã Bretanha, essas freqüências são utilizadas pelas brigadas de incêndio, e
radios FRS / GMRS contrabandeados ilegalmente tem causado transtornos às
autoridades britânicas. Os equipamentos FRS / GMRS são conhecidos aqui no Brasil
como radios “<B><I>Talkabout</I></B>”, numa referência ao modelo da marca
Motorola que mais se tornou conhecido aqui no país.</SPAN><B><SPAN
