FT-8 experiment called-off
After receiving almost 100 requests for skeds in the last 24 hours, it
was decided with a heavy heart to cancel the test with DR4K.
The intention was to explore how quickly one can reach a goal with a
small station and a modern operating mode. I didn't expect that an
announcement posted on Friday, would cause a real hype so quickly.
On the one hand, the enthusiasm of the interested radio amateurs is a
sign of a lively hobby; on the other hand, the parameters for the test
have already been disturbed in such a way that one should not expect a
valid result.
So the test will be carried out at a later date without prior notice
and will only be communicated afterwards. I am sure that the decision
taken is in line with the spirit of our experimental radio service.
73 and thank you for your interest!
