Sweden: SSA cancels Annual Meeting planned for April

As a result of the pandemic the November 24 board meeting of Sweden's
national society *SSA* took the decision to cancel the in-person Annual
Meeting at Östersund planned for last weekend of April 2021

A translation of the SSA post reads:

Excerpts from the minutes of the Board meeting on 24 November 2020 - item 6.

§6 Annual meeting 2021

At this point, Petter joined SM3PXO as a representative of SK3JR,
Jemtland's Radio Amateurs. He announced that representatives of the
proposed exhibition and conference venues have announced that they will not
open at all due to the covid-19 pandemic. The restaurants in the hotel are
closed. This fact and the current restrictions on meeting activities force
SK3JR to resign from the assignment to organize SSA's annual meeting 2021.

The event consists not only of the annual meeting but also of ancillary
activities such as lectures and exhibitions, and it is doubtful whether it
is possible to arrange a meeting under these circumstances.

The board decided to cancel the physical annual meeting in Östersund 2021
and instead prepare a virtual annual meeting according to the guidelines
followed at the annual meeting 2020. The meeting will take place during the
last weekend in April 2021.The decision was unanimous and was adjusted
immediately.
