French ham radio societies to meet

A meeting of France’s national Amateur Radio Societies is planned for
September 22, societies represented will include DR  F, Union of Radio
Clubs, AMSAT-F and REF

A translation of an AMSAT-F post reads:

In accordance with the messages of June 5 and August 15 to all the French
radio associations, AMSAT-F, DR @ F, URC and REF worked together this
summer to present in a joint letter to the ANFR our requests and remarks
regarding amateur services for the preparation of the World Radio
Conference 2019.

In the continuity of this joint work between the French associations, the
AMSAT-F, the DR @ F, the URC and the REF have thus decided to organize
together two working meetings: one in September and a second in October so
to establish a work plan on more specifically French topics, and in order
to define the topics for which we will propose practical actions and
recommendations or requests to the administration.

To date, the themes considered are the coordination of the relays and
frequencies, the training and the examinations and the desired
modifications of the French regulations (list not definitive). The
objective of this approach is to show that the amateur radio community,
recognizing of course all its diversity, is a responsible community and
capable of constructive and pragmatic proposals.

The first physical meeting will take place Sunday, September 22 at the
premises of the Electrolab Nanterre, we thank for its hospitality. This
first meeting will aim to confirm the exact list of the working themes
mentioned above, as well as the methods used to make progress on these
topics (dematerialized meetings, etc.).

Each association wishing to be represented will have to confirm by e-mail
at f5djl  f5djl.fr , its participation with the name of the participant
before September 10, 2019. The detailed agenda and the details of
organization will be communicated to him on September 12, 2019. It is to
note that a second physical meeting is scheduled for October 13, 2019 in
the continuity of HAMEXPO.
