French national ham radio societies meet

The URC, AMSAT-F, DR  F, VE-France, FFBRA and REF met on September 22
and October 13 in Nanterre to define the working methods and
priorities of the Inter Associations Radioamateur Group (GIAR)

GIAR has established a proposal for an operating charter. It will be
distributed to all French associations at the end of October 2019. The
aim is to publish at the end of November 2019 the charter and the list
of member associations.

GIAR has identified the following priorities and associated thematic groups:
• Community Facilities (Relays - Beacons - Networks).
• Training and exams.
• French regulations.
• Communication and promotion.
