Strong radio bursts from sunspot AR2738

Massive sunspot AR2738 is sending bursts of radio energy toward Earth
strong enough to make audible noises in the loudspeakers of common
shortwave receivers.

An amateur radio astronomer in New Mexico recorded some of the bursts this
weekend--and they sound like ocean surf.
