Scouts learn more about radios

The Southend Echo reports more than 200 scouts, cubs and beavers took part
in Jamboree On The Air at Belchamps Scout Activity Centre in Hockley, Essex

“Today’s smartphones and tablets all make use of radio technology such as
wi-fi and bluetooth, and giving beavers, cubs and scouts the chance to
learn about radio in a fun way reinforces what they’ll learn at school. We
were able to link up by radio with other youngsters at other scouting
events too.� said *Pete M0PSX* of Essex Ham.
