Radio Australia - The Last Two Minutes

Indeed, it was a sad day for both Australians and the global radio
listening community when, on January 31, the ABC pulled the plug on
both Radio Australia and the Northern Territory Shortwave Service.

The International Service of Radio Australia began in the late '30s.
And for more than 70 years, it has beamed from the Shepparton
transmitter site to all parts of the world. But no longer!

Here is a YouTube video I made of the last two minutes of the final
broadcast, including the audible switch-off click and a few parting
comments from me.
