Fort McMurray Update

RAC has had several inquiries in regard to emergency frequencies and
ARES activities with respect to Fort McMurray. Alberta Section Manager
Garry Jacobs advises there has been no call out yet. This really has
not become a communications event.  There are amateurs on the ground
helping other organizations such as the Red Cross.

The Radio Amateurs of Canada wish to express our warmest wishes to the
Fort McMurray residents and urge everyone to stay safe.
