Oman HST Championship cancelled

The Oman High Speed Telegraphy Championship, which had been planned
for September 21-25, has been cancelled

The championship was to have been hosted by the Royal Omani Amateur
Radio Society but a post on the IARU Region 1 website by Oliver
Tabakovski Z32TO says:

ROARS, the Region 1 MS from Oman, has decided it is no longer able to
host the HST world championship this year, due to unforeseen
circumstances.

I am very sorry for this late cancellation. I hope this notification
comes in time to allow Member Societies to cancel any travel
arrangements that may have been made.

The Region 1 HSTWG is reviewing the available alternatives for an HST
event this year and hopes to be able to make a further statement
before too long.
