Team Netherlands ready for YOTA 2016

The Dutch amateur radio society *VERON* report their team of young radio
amateurs are ready for the *YOTA 2016* event in Austria July 16-23

A translation of the VERON report reads:
In December last year registration opened for the 6th *Youngsters On The
Air* summer camp, which takes place this year in Austria. A few hours after
the tenders were opened, the tender for Team Netherlands had been delivered
to the YOTA organization.

The next step was finding a team. After a call in various media, the first
applications were already inside.

This year's YOTA event will be the biggest yet, with more than 110
participants from 27 different countries, it is already a huge success!

A unique program has once again been put together. Participants will attend
a workshop to build a WSPR transmitter with a Raspberry Pi and a VHF and HF
antenna. They will then use this during a SOTA activity. Further activities
focus on Satellites, EMCOMM, Digital Voice, making QSOs and more.

During the summer camp, the participating teams will be regularly on the
air with the special call: *OE2YOTA*.
