Over The Horizon Radar

TARG's radar expert *Andy Tyler, G1GKN*, will present a talk about Over The
Horizon Radar (OTHR) and how it impacts on our hobby.

OTHR systems, by their nature, are secretive and their existence often
denied by governments who operate them. This makes them very difficult to
control when they start to operate within an amateur radio allocated band.

Andy will discuss how OTHR works and look at both some historical systems
such as Woodpecker, and at the new OTHR’s that are currently heard on our
bands.

Visitors are very welcome. Large free car park. Disabled access &
facilities. Refreshments.
