HF Mobile Antenna System

Cross Country Wireless have released a
HF Mobile Antenna System.

The antenna is designed to work with HF transceivers with internal or
external antenna tuning units.

This allows simple HF mobile operation from 7 to 30 MHz without
multiple whips, moving parts or external power. Changing frequency is
done from inside the vehicle using the antenna tuner.

For operation when stationary an additional 5m wire can be clipped to
the 1.3m whip antenna. A 5m counterpoise wire can also be fitted to
the mounting thread as well. This allows more efficient operation from
3.5 to 10.5 MHz.

The first public display will be at the Norbreck Exhibition at
Blackpool this Sunday.
