Two-thirds of FCC field offices face axe

The USA amateur radio regulator, the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC), plans to close 16 out of 24 field offices

In TV Technology Deborah D. McAdams reports on the appearance of FCC
Chairman Tom Wheeler before the House Subcommittee on Financial
Services and General Government.

At the same time as cutting the field offices to save $9 million
Wheeler is seeking an additional $84 million in funding for 2016.
