ARLA/CLUSTER: DXpedition à Ilha de Navassa vai operar o satélite SO-50

Navassa (em inglês: Navassa Island, em francês: Île de la Navasse ou
La Navase e em crioulo haitiano: Lanavaz ou Lavash) é uma pequena ilha
desabitada do mar do Caribe. Constitui em um território
não-incorporado dos Estados Unidos, administrado pelo Serviço de Pesca
e Vida Selvagem dos Estados Unidos. No entanto, a ilha é reclamada por
instituições privadas e pelo Haiti, país que alega possuir sua
soberania desde 1801..

Navassa DXpedition on SO-50 satellite

Sean, KX9X, reports that he heard from K1N Navassa DXpedition member
Gregg Marco, W6IZT and states, "We will be bringing an HT and an Arrow
antenna in hopes of making some QSOs on SO-50.
Dates and times of operation will be dependent upon operator
availability at the time of a viable pass."

Operation will only be on SO-50; no other satellites are being considered.

The K1N Navassa DXpedition is the number one most-needed country in
the world by HF DX'ers. Exact dates are still being determined, but
the operation is slated for the first two weeks of February.
